Sorry for the delay, Startup Weekend fans.
Everyone not labeled a Developer headed out for a celebratory dinner at Zizzi on Charlotte Street where the wine flowed readily. Half-hour later, the developers joined in with news of a launch.
Many thanks to our host, Dennis Publishing, with a special thanks to Julian whose idea was actualized throughout the weekend. Perhaps his generosity was laced with guilt in that he was absent for a decent portion of the event. No matter: much fun was had by all. What an amazing weekend.
So, without further ado, I proudly present to you, Startup Weekend London’s aLittleBitBetter.

I have no idea what’s going on.
Dev called a time out and wants to have a pow-wow for fifteen minutes.
More then.

After much debate, recounts, and hanging chads over the leadership structure, the SW London crew elected to continue with a provisional core team that will take the reins of the company for the next four weeks, at which time a final core team will be established.
For the curious (and for clarity) here were the options:
- The Core Team elected now, who will be fully responsible.
- Nights and Weekends leading into The Core Team after four weeks.
- Provisional Core Team leading into The Core Team after four weeks.
This was the first time this weekend the 10-minute fight rule was necessary. Andrew brought the hammer down.
Until then, bookmark: aLittleBitBetter.co.uk.

Dev synced the development server with the production server. By 9pm, we’ll throw the switch.
aLittleBitBetter.co.uk.
Shares are being signed. 7-share founders own 4.1% of the company that owns no less than 50% of the main company.
The Boozehound in the crowd spotted bottles of wine ready for consumption.
Though, before celebrating, we need an exit strategy. Discussing now.

With 8 minutes left ’til the soft-launch, the content crew fights fatigue to populate the database with articles and reviews, aided by every set of hands that aren’t otherwise occupied.
Dev, also exhausted, fends off kinks in the layout and design while the local Dennis Publishing crew tidies up around them.
I, still jet lagged, fight through the tears and aching fingers to bring you this post– which in no meaningful way helps the cause and is merely an excuse to make reference to childbirth. Consider me the sonogram.
At 8pm the contractions start. By 9pm, we’ll have a core team ready to catch her.

BizDev: Finished with Media Pack– will allow core group to get advertisers, with major help from Tim from Dennis Publishing. Business Plan complete. Pleading dev for ad space proves challenging– taking it off line.
Content: It’s hot. Waiting to upload.
UX: Future spec written, briefing offline.
Dev: Content adding enabled. Data population imminent with Real Content. Still haven’t implemented ‘delete’ functionality… so be careful. Andrew Hyde will take care of graphics for your article.
SW: Going over equity structure. Lots of members with 7 shares– great retention for the weekend.
Launch in 50 minutes.
